I first went to Steve Rice after not having seen a dentist for years - horrible experiences in the past. My husband had been a patient for a while and made me go. BTW - my husband is also a "bad patient" - he actually bit Steve on one early visit because of anxiety. Dr Rice handled that situation wonderfully. He put me right at ease and is absolutely great. I've been referring people ever since. He was the best when I was pregnant and scared to do anything. He talked through every option (no x-rays, pain med choices, delaying parts of procedure etc) and really made me feel comfortable.

I am a new patient of Dr. Rice's who came to him following some very traumatic oral surgery. I was immediately impressed by Dr. Rice's good nature and relaxed ways. I had brought my records with me from my surgery and Dr. Rice was thorough in his review of my problems. He immediately put me at ease and, instead of this being the stress-filled visit I had dreaded, I actually look forward to returning to complete the work we began. I feel like a partner in my care and not just a passive recipient and this is very important to me. What really impressed me is that he did my cleaning himself. Would I recommend Dr. Rice for "cowards" (translated: people who have had traumatic experiences in a dental office) such as myself? In a heartbeat! This was probably one of the most pleasant doctor visits I've ever had. Thanks, Dr. Rice!

Dr. Rice is hysterical! I actually enjoy going to the dentist. He and his staff are extremely pleasant, the office is immaculate, the wait is non-existent and he does a great job. I was referred by a colleague and I have been referring as many co-workers as I can since.

I never have to wait when I go to the dentist office and I am always in the chair by the time of my appointment and the people that work at the office are very polite to me.

Dr. Rice and his staff are wonderful! A number of years ago, when I had another Dentist, he did not know how to treat diabetic patients. My husband referred me to Dr. Rice (he was already a patient) He is very pleasant, knowledgeable and professional . What I like the best is that you don't have the usual long waiting time to get into the chair. You're in and out!

visits to the old-school dentists.This is not the case with Dr Steven Rice.His office is state of the art with the latest,pain -free techniques.I find him very relaxing,easy to talk to.When I leave, I feel secure.And yes, people do ask how I keep such

nice natural teeth at my age.Dr. Rice and his office staff are

very knowledgeable in helping me keep my dental hygiene in tip top shape.Patient education is also a good part of their professional approach that yields measureable results. I am passing out his practice cards now as I write this review!

Dr. Rice is the best! I first contacted him when I broke a molar. He was kind enough to squeeze me into his schedule, and he was able to fix the tooth (when I am certain that other dentists would have wanted to replace it). Dr. Rice is gentle, and I am always seen on schedule. I have recommended him to three co-workers, and all are pleased with his manner and service. I can't say enough good about Dr. Rice. Make an appointment; you will not be disappointed.

Finding good doctors is very difficult when you first move to an area & I have not had good luck in the past; however, Dr. Rice has been an exception. Each time I go for a check-up I am seen right away, everyone is pleasant, and Dr. Rice actually cleans my teeth! My gums are never bleeding and I always leave in a better mood than when I entered. It is clear that I have not had good dentist experiences in the past, however I do have good ones in the present.

I highly recommend a visit to the office.

My husband and I have been patients of Dr.Rice for many years. We are most satisfied with the results that we have after each of our visits. A while ago I had a toothache and he immediately fit me into his schedule the next day. After which I I was most appreciated and relieved of pain. He is knowledgeable and a fine dentist. The office staff is friendly and make you feel at ease. I particularly like how my clean my mouth feels after my appointment with the hygienist. She is thorough and takes the time to answer any of our questions.

If it is possible, Dr. Rice and his office staff make a trip to the dentist stress free.

I've been a patient of Steve's since my early teens, all three of my kids have been patients since age five and my wife has been a patient since we started dating.

We drive into the city from Havertown, so it's not like we don't have some incentive to find another dentist. Steve's manner and the free toothbrushes keep us coming back, though. :-)

Dr Rice doesn't participate with my current plan but I still go to him, not only because of the comfort level, but for his vast knowledge of dentistry and extremely gentle touch.
